FAQ

I was a passenger in an Uber that crashed. Who pays?

If the driver was heading to pick you up or driving you, Uber's commercial coverage may apply. Other drivers' policies can come into play too, depending on who caused the crash.

I was hit by an Uber as a pedestrian, cyclist or another driver.

You may have a claim against the driver and Uber's policy, depending on what the driver's app was doing at the time.

What if a non-Uber driver caused the crash?

Your claim may involve the at-fault driver's insurance, your own insurer, and possibly Uber's coverage. We work out which policies apply.

I was hurt getting into or out of the car.

Injuries while boarding or exiting may still be covered. Tell us what happened and we'll review it.

Uber's insurer denied or delayed my claim. Now what?

Insurers may dispute the driver's status, claim shared fault, or say there isn't enough evidence. A denial isn't always the final word — we can challenge it.

Am I eligible?

Passengers, pedestrians, cyclists and people in other vehicles may all qualify. Request your free review and we'll tell you.
